This is an unnamed race of reptilianoid spacefaring aliens, which have visited the Earth at some point during the late Mesozoic and took samples of the local fauna and flora in order to save them from an ecological disaster known as the "wall of doom".
The animals were brought to a new world with lower gravity known as Planet D. Unfortunately, it seems that the "wall of doom" has followed them even there as well.
