Vegetation

Vegetation is a term used to refer to all life forms which are plants or take a role analogous to plants or fungi in their native environment. They are typically sessile, phototrophic and/or saprotrophic; but sometimes complement diet by predation. Sapient forms of vegetation are nearly always mobile, although often retain their photosynthesis.
