A Facehugger is a type of Xenomorph offspring that hatches from an egg and attacks the first living thing that it sees after hatching. Once it locates its victim, the Facehugger attaches itself to the victims face. While attached to the face of the victim, the Facehugger impregnates the victim with a Chestburster. After the Chestburster is impregnated, the Facehugger dies.
