Scorpion-Flies are interdimensional insect-like creatures from both the novella and film, The Mist.
Biology[]
A Scorpion-Fly is very poisonous and can kill a person with a single sting from its neurotoxin. They are the prey of Pterobuzzards and like most ordinary bugs, bright light attracts them.
History[]
Swarms of Scorpion-Flies attack the grocery store as they land on the windows. At least five of them escape into the store, then the window breaks and one stings Sally. Two of the them get crushed or cut to death by both Tom and Amanda, while three more are eaten by a Pterobuzzard.
